Wow does this one deliver! 100% old vine Cabernet Sauvignon from a single-estate vineyard located in Agrelo, Mendoza. Said beautifully by owner Guillermo Garcia Lamadrid, “Lamadrid renders homage to my mother, the woman who opened the door to give me the chance to live and unfold my wings to enjoy the magic of life.” These vines produce very low yields (only one bottle of wine per plant!). Quite restrained compared to most New World Cabs, this medium-bodied example presents red fruit with notes of blackcurrants, blackberry leaf, citrus zest, black pepper, toasted hazelnut and cedar. Fermented and briefly aged in neutral French oak. Unfined, unfiltered, and sustainably farmed. Pairs gorgeously with pork chops and grilled flank steak.
